Composite covers solve two problems ductile iron can’t: theft and corrosion. With zero scrap-metal value, they remove the financial incentive that drives the chronic theft problem for municipal utilities. Their fiberglass matrix is immune to the sewer-gas and coastal-salt corrosion that eats iron over time, and they’re light enough for a single worker to lift safely.
For U.S. importers, composite also lands at a materially lower tariff than ductile iron under current Section 301 schedules — a meaningful per-unit cost advantage on large orders. Available in standard and custom configurations for U.S. utility, telecom, and electrical access requirements.
